Yellow fever is a severe and potentially deadly viral illness transmitted by mosquitoes in tropical regions of Africa and South America. It's prevalent in both jungle and urban areas, especially during the rainy season. You should get vaccinated at least 10 days before travel.

Side effects: Common side effects of the vaccine include soreness at the injection site, headache, and general pain.

Additional precautions: Practise mosquito bite prevention by using insect repellent, wearing long-sleeved clothing, and staying indoors during peak mosquito activity times.
Risks caused by typhoid: Yellow fever can vary from mild flu-like symptoms to a severe and fatal illness, causing internal bleeding and organ failure.
