The cholera vaccine is administered orally in two doses, spaced at least 7 days apart. It's important to complete the full course at least one week before travelling abroad to ensure protection.

Additional precautions: Alongside vaccination, maintaining food, hand, and water hygiene is crucial in high-risk areas.

Before your appointment: Avoid eating, drinking, and if possible, taking medication for one hour.

Risks caused by cholera: Severe digestive issues such as diarrhoea and vomiting, increasing the risk of dehydration and potential fatality.
